How to play sale run
Each round is a price question. A sale price is the price times (1 − rate/100). The amount off is the price times rate/100.
A tip total and a tax total use the same step: price times (1 + rate/100).
Tap one of four prices. A miss shows the right total, then the next round starts. Eight rounds make the game.
80 at 25% off: the sale price is 80 × 0.75 = 60, and the amount off is 20. A 40 bill with a 15% tip is 40 × 1.15 = 46. 200 plus 10% tax is 220.
Sale and tip questions
The sale price is 60. The amount taken off is 20.
A 20% tip on 40 is 8. The total to pay is 40 + 8 = 48.
10% tax on 200 is 20, so the total is 220. That is 200 × 1.10.
